All of Steady Custom Cycles slip-on pipes are manufactured without baffles. The majority of our clients prefer to make as much noise as possible, however we do have clients who are concerned about the back pressure and others live in noise controlled areas. If these are things that concern you, then we recommend ordering the baffles. We recommend adding the baffles to your order of slip-on pipes because that way we can drill the holes needed for the baffles. If you order the baffles after you've already received your pipes, then your pipes will not have the holes needed for the baffles and if you're in this predicament, we recommend going to a professional to get the hole drilled and get the baffles installed. However, if you are more of a "DIY" person, then we recommend that you use painter's tape to cover the pipe in the area in which you will be installing the baffles, we install your baffles at 3" from where the head pipe connects and the bolt is hiding on the side. The baffles we install are removable and you can take them off at any time you'd like and put them back on whenever you need them. There is a chance that the chrome will crack if you are installing the baffles yourself. We will not be replacing the pipes if you crack your chrome. That is why we ask that you add the baffles to the order of your pipes at the time of purchase. This item is sold as a set. The percentage of noise reduction will be about 10%. If you already placed the order for your pipes but forgot to add the baffles, please call our store to add the baffles to your order.
