Steady Custom Cycles MEGAPHONE pipes were designed as a request by JET FILMS to get the SUPER HORNET pipes design to work for a touring/bagger model. The design works like the name suggests; like a megaphone. This is considered to be our loudest pipes besides the Super Hornets. Since the pipes open up towards the end. The pipes also hold a special quality that most other companies do not offer; EXCHANGEABLE TIPS.
The tips we have available are the straight tips in chrome or cerakote black.
We do offer GOLD PLATED tips as a special order for an extra fee of $185.00
We offer the SHARKFIN 2.0 Tips, BATIQUE Tips, FISHTAIL Tips, SLASHCUT Tips, PISTON Tips, DIAMOND Tips and the original STEADY Tip. The pipes come with the default tips of: STEADY TIPS in chrome, if you do not specify which style you would prefer. Like all our pipes, these are sold in pairs, straight exhaust tips are included. We now also offer a copper color however know that the gold plating and copper color need to be cleaned with ammonia free cleaners. For the chrome please use chrome cleaner in order to maintain the shine. For the black pipes and exhaust tips we recommend using cleaning products that are specifically intended for Cerakote finish.
The 1" bagger mounting kit is needed for touring models in order to properly level the pipes. For the Softails we recommend using our SCC BEEFY BRACKETS and Softail Mounting Kit. Chrome muffler clamps are also available. All hardware and brackets are sold separately.
Like all our pipes, the pipes are 1-7/8" in diameter and are not intended to match the diameter of heat shields. The diameter tapers open to a 2.25" at the tips.
Warranty: Our slip‐on pipes and tips are warranted against defects in material and/or workmanship for a period of 90 days. The following models are not covered by our warranty 1985 ‐ 2016 Touring/Bagger. Our warranty does NOT cover finishes such as plating, or painted surfaces with discoloration or rust. This warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement of the system, which may be proven defective under normal use. Defective pipes need to be returned and inspected before receiving a replacement. Steady Custom Cycles Slip-on pipes are not intended for performance. We will not warranty any system that has been abused, misused, improperly installed, modified, or damage during impact (scrape the curb, accident, etc.). Only the SCC Fat Pipes (2.25” pipes) are intended for use on touring models. Intended for use with stock engine only. Please use lock tight on the exhaust tips to prevent the tips from falling off due to the vibration produced by the motorcycle. Replacement will NOT be offered for free. Bagger mounting kit is needed for properly leveling the pipes, Softail Mounting kit is needed to help properly level slip‐ons. Beefy Brackets are encouraged to be used on softails. Softail models using BASSANI POWERCURVE MODEL head pipes are not covered by warranty. Our pipes are not recommended for use with the header pipes: BASSANI POWER CURVE. Warning: Warranty not valid if parts are not installed by approved SCC Dealer. If purchased through a vendor and not directly from STEADY CUSTOM CYCLES, then please bring in the pipes to be inspected by the vendor and request to use the warranty coverage for a replacement. Damaged or defective pipes are to be shipped back to Steady Custom Cycles in order to receive replacement. Yellowing or bluing is not covered by warranty. NOTE: Steady Custom Cycles Pipes does not have heat‐shields, the pipes are 100% visible. Our slip-ons are not intended to match heat shields. Slip‐ons do not come with baffles. Discoloration on the pipe could occur if the engine is not properly tuned. Tuning typically requires baffles, we urge you to purchase performance baffles or torque cones instead. Tuning your bike is recommended when changing the pipes out. If pipes change colors during tuning process please consult the tuner. Companies doing the tuning should be trained to inspect the customer's set up and advise the client on what are the possible consequences or outcomes and should be asking the client if they understand. Steady Custom Cycles slip‐ons are not intended to increase performance.
